Happy Thanksgiving card

Here's the card We're making at my next stamping club meeting. Again We're using the watercolor technique, I just had to watercolor these pumpkins, I've seen so many cool cards done this way that I just had to try my own, I did take some tips here and there. I watercolored using the stamp pad, I liked the looked better, I tried using the crayons, and pencils and markers and I wasn't happy with the look. This was my first try at watercoloring using the ink pad and I gotta say, I like it better, but I'll let my friends at the club decide on their own.. TFL!!

Baroque birthday

Here's the card I made for my mother in law's birthday, She doesn't like this set very much, I'm hoping this card makes her change her mind... I used mellow moss, true thyme and whisper white cardstock, I stampes the background of the card with white craft ink and true thyme, the card front with river rock and true thyme, the flowers are stamped true thyme on white cardstock and white craft on true thyme cardstock, and I used the corner punch for the corners. The brads I got them at target in the dollar spot, just one of the advantages of working there not to mention my employee discount, but that's another story. I hope Deb like's this card, thanks for looking!!!!!

male birthday card

here's a card I made for my father in law's birthday. The tree is stamped with stazon and watercolored. I used creamy caramel for the card, caribean blue, blue bayou, basic black and watercolor cardstock for the front. For stamps I used lovely as a tree and it's your birthday sets. Thanks for looking!!!

Stamp a Stack cards

Here's the cards We'll be making at our stamp a stack, which I'm still nor sure when We'll be making them, some time in September. It's been so hectic this last couple of weeks. I went back to work at my favorite store Super Target. I love it, I loved it before but now with groceries, deli, and a a meat department I'm in heaven and the best part I get my employee discount on everything, I'm so happy to be back at work, I get to get out of the house, talk to people, I'm at the guest service counter and even though they come in to complaint I still love my job. I still love rubber stamping so I'm still going to post stuff, I'll try to do it regularly, so bare with me here and I hope you keep on coming by....

teacher's frame

I found a bunch of these frames at my local dollar store, so I decided to make some frames for friends. This one is for a friend of mine who is a teacher so I thought this frame would be great on her desk. I never knew that they were the ones who decorate their own classrooms, and it's all out of their pocket, I thought that the school district pays for all that, I guess I was wrong. I hope she likes it...TFL

At the Cabins in San Diego

I got to say, the one who had the most fun at the San Diego KOA was Zacky. the little cabin was perfect for his size, he just loved cruising arround the cabin and playing at the front door, here he is kicking us out of the cabin..

Our kids sure made friends quickly with that huge ball. This is the front yard for all the cabins it was pretty cool you can see and talk to all your neighbors...

More San Diego

Here's Rico and Danny looking for sea "enemies" at the tide pools here. There was a lot of cool stuff to see, they found some crabs, little fishes, hermit crabs, and sea anemone's, but so star fishes, that was a bummer but they still had fun...

San Diego trip

So, I just got back from San Diego, We took the kids camping at the KOA there. it was a lot of fun, eventhough We were only there for 3 days, but trust me with 3 boys that was plenty, We had time to go to the beach, which We all love, the weather was perfect a little cool at night perfect for camping, I hate hot nights, and Zack's first time in a swimming pool, this was his second time at the beach, We went to pismo beach last march, but the water was still cold he didn't get in the water, this time he was so happy he didn't want to get out...

Guava B-day

I got to admitt, I wasn't a fan of the grovy guava color, but after playing around with my new stuff, It's growing on my now. With this card I stamped the petals with the guava first and then outlined them with the black and I liked that combination so I did it on the paper too. Over all I like this card, it's clean and super easy to make, We'll be making this one at my next club meeting in Aug.. Supplies:
Grovy Guava paper and ink
Basic black paper and ink
whisper white paper

thinking baroque

I was starting to questioned my self why I got this set, baroque is not really my thing and it didn't matter the card samples I saw, I was just not into it. What made buy this set first of all was the 40% off, I couldn't pass off that deal, so I started playing with this set. At first I was not happy with this card, I thought it need it something else or the colors weren't good together, I asked my son and husband many times what they thought, but it's growing on me now I woke up the next morning after being up until late making the card, and it looked different for some reason and I like it now, I think I'm liking this baroque stuff now, I can't wait to play with it more. So here's the list of supplies.
Stamps: Baroque motifs, sincere salutations
Inks: purely pomegranate, close to cocoa
Paper: purely pomegranate, river rock, basic black, whisper white
Accessories: silver brads and black gingham ribbon.

What do you guys think????

Welcome baby card

My friend had a baby a couple of weeks ago, and I've been so busy getting ready for my Open house that I haven't had time to even send her a card, Well I finally did it. I just like the combination of pink and brown together not to mentioned that I wanted an excuse to play with my new suff. So here's the supply list:
Inks: positively pink, chocolate chip.
Paper: pretty in pink, close to cocoa.
Stamps: pick a petal, word on word, and riveting.
Accessories: Non SU ribbon.

Now I just hope it doesn't take me another 2 weeks to mail it.....

Onesies

I made these for a friend's baby shower, She's always teasing me about "my crafts" hopefully with this she decides to come to one of my parties. For the bugs, the truck and the bunny I used iron on transfer paper, and just follow directions on the package, the letters, feet and hands are stamped with craft ink and heat set them. Thanks for looking, I hope you keep coming back...

wooden letters

I made these letter's for my niece's b-day, her name is Angie she's 2 years old, I love making stuff for my nieces because I'm really girly, but I don't get to do girly stuff for my kids because I only have boys, so that was fun. I just used plain wooden letters from Walmart, gave them a coat of white paint, glued the paper on them, sanded the edges, sponged them, and decaorated with ribbons and things. It was a quick project, well I had to make them fast, I bought the stuff Saturday and her party was Sunday morning. I think they turned out cute, I'm very happy witht he way they look... TFL

Friend's coaster scrapbook

My husband's friend from work saw the coaster scrapbook I made from my mother in law and fell in love with it. She ask me to make one for her mom for her birthday, so this is what I did. I didn't know their names so my husband came up with this family poem. It goes like this.
Family is forever,
Always there for you,
Meaningful and special,
Important and true,
Loving and caring,
Yearning and strong.
So this is one of the thing I did over the weekend. I ve been very busy, and I'm dead tired right now, I'll be posting more stuff in the next couple of days... *click on the picture for a close up* Thanks for visiting!

Tile coasters

These are drink coasters I made also for my mother in law. they are made with ceramic tiles. I printed the pictures on tissue paper and glued it to the tile with modge podge, and gave it another coat to protected let dry stamped with stazon black ink and sprayed on a clear sealer, dont's forget to put the felt pads on the bottom so your table don't get scratched. I'll be doing a class on both the coaster tiles and the coaster scrapbook, if you live in the high desert area contactme for details...TFL ps. click on the picture to enlarge.

coaster scrapbook

I made this hanging scrapbook with chipboard coasters for my mother in law's birthday, that's them right there on the second tile. to do this I simply cover the chipboard with glue covered with the printed paper, after it dried I trimmed, sanded and sponged the edges, then attached the hinges with some brads, put my pictures on and the title, I used my sizzix machine and die cuts for that athached a ribbon on the top to hang it and that was it. It was pretty simle but it looks like it took a lot of work, you can also make it to stand on a desk or shelf that looks great too. Thanks for looking and come back and visit soon...

In the basket I included some non SU 12x12 scrapbook paper, a stamp set, some water color pencils, a blender pen, a sponge, a letter opener, ribbon, paper clips and of course that frame. It was so much fun....

Here's the other one. It's cute too. I'm going to miss that set..... TFL

Chris's b-day cards

I made this card for my son's 17th b-day, very easy to make I had to make 2 that night one from Us and one from his grandma. Of course mine had to be cooler, sorry Deb. Anyway I used my piercing bug tool again I love that thing. For the carstock I used certain celery and a leathery looking non SU brown cardstock. I like it, I think it came out cute...

Rico graduated from preschool!!!!

Ok. This may not sound like a big deal to you, but I thought this was never going to happen and that I was going to have to home school him. He was getting in trouble almost daily and he didn't seem to like school, but in the end he liked going, he's looking foward to kindergarten, he can't wait to ride the big yellow bus with this brother.... My baby is growing up .....

baby scrapbook pages

Here's the pages I made for my friend's scrapbook baby shower. This is what We do usually, instead of doing make and takes We all do 2 12 x 12 scrapbook pages everybody bring supplies we can all use paper, stamps, adhesives zizzix machine etc. and she gets to keep them. I give her the scrapbook album as a gift along with my 2 pages so that way she has the scapbook and pages already made all she has to do is fill it up with pictures. This time We made it alittle different since We needed it to do something for father's day We brought the pages already made so We could have time to make our father's day projects. We had a lot of fun, We always do but it's always more fun when there's a party afterwards. Anyway, for my pages I used a non SU patterned paper brushed the chipboards letters with glue, I used tacky glue place the paper on the letter print side up, when over with the brayer to make sure there was no bubbles, let it dry then cut it out with the exacto knife the sponged the edges. On the journaling part I put a piece of vellum on top of the pale plum piece do she can actually write on it cause the little feet are stamped on the bottom piece.

Father's Day Wallet

Here's project #2. We only made 2 projecs that day because We threw a scrapbook baby shower to our friend April, but that's another story. For this wallet you need to remember 2 important things use red sticky tape and don't tape all the way arround you got to leave an opening for the money and gift cards. I also used this new tool I don't know what it's called but it's from cutter bee and it's a faux stitch wheel so you don't have to punch each individual whole. It's pretty neat.

Faux Leather Father's Day Card

Don't pay attention to the date, I still haven't fix my camera, anyway... We made this card at our June meeting it was a Father's Day theme, for the Faux Leather you just need to cover the entire piece of paper with masking tape then I went over with the brayer to make sure the tape was stuck there really good, then I went over with the creamy caramel and then close to cocoa until I got the desired color then cover with clear embossing powder and heat set. I stamped the elephant with black stazon (very important) colored it with creamy caramel and blended it. This technique is soo cool I tried it on a wood picture frame and it looks cool too, I'll post that one later I need to put the finishing touches on it but in my case that can take weeks. Oh well I guess you just have to keep checking...
