baby scrapbook pages

Here's the pages I made for my friend's scrapbook baby shower. This is what We do usually, instead of doing make and takes We all do 2 12 x 12 scrapbook pages everybody bring supplies we can all use paper, stamps, adhesives zizzix machine etc. and she gets to keep them. I give her the scrapbook album as a gift along with my 2 pages so that way she has the scapbook and pages already made all she has to do is fill it up with pictures. This time We made it alittle different since We needed it to do something for father's day We brought the pages already made so We could have time to make our father's day projects. We had a lot of fun, We always do but it's always more fun when there's a party afterwards. Anyway, for my pages I used a non SU patterned paper brushed the chipboards letters with glue, I used tacky glue place the paper on the letter print side up, when over with the brayer to make sure there was no bubbles, let it dry then cut it out with the exacto knife the sponged the edges. On the journaling part I put a piece of vellum on top of the pale plum piece do she can actually write on it cause the little feet are stamped on the bottom piece.

Father's Day Wallet

Here's project #2. We only made 2 projecs that day because We threw a scrapbook baby shower to our friend April, but that's another story. For this wallet you need to remember 2 important things use red sticky tape and don't tape all the way arround you got to leave an opening for the money and gift cards. I also used this new tool I don't know what it's called but it's from cutter bee and it's a faux stitch wheel so you don't have to punch each individual whole. It's pretty neat.

Faux Leather Father's Day Card

Don't pay attention to the date, I still haven't fix my camera, anyway... We made this card at our June meeting it was a Father's Day theme, for the Faux Leather you just need to cover the entire piece of paper with masking tape then I went over with the brayer to make sure the tape was stuck there really good, then I went over with the creamy caramel and then close to cocoa until I got the desired color then cover with clear embossing powder and heat set. I stamped the elephant with black stazon (very important) colored it with creamy caramel and blended it. This technique is soo cool I tried it on a wood picture frame and it looks cool too, I'll post that one later I need to put the finishing touches on it but in my case that can take weeks. Oh well I guess you just have to keep checking...

brother's b-day card

Here I am again, I'm getting pretty good at this, I think. It all depends on Zack I guess, today he's co-operationg with me and took his naps, I'm dead tired right now but I got to do this then I'll go to bed. Anyway I made this card for my brother in law Jared, His b-day was may 8th and the card was only a day late. I used the new paper on this one. It's kind of a simple card but I can't put too much on it cause it's supposed to be a guy's card. Anyway he liked it and I liked it too.. Come back and visit soon... TFL

More Mother's Day stuff

Ok, I better post this Mother's Day cards before the Mother's Day month is over. I don't know which one is going to be on top or bottom so here it goes. The MOM card I actually made this same card for my mother in law last year. I just switch the colors for some springy colors and I used a different background. it seems hard but it really isn't the only thing you have to cut is the big flower from looks like spring set the rest I just used the spring bouquet punch, this one was card #3 on my Mother Day workshop this month. The other card I though this card is so simple I'm going to make one for all my friends... Not so much fun when you have to color and cut about 35 of these. They all like it so it was ok at the end. This card was 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 for the regal rose piece 4x8 scored at 4" for the whisper white piece. I used the doodle this set, warm words for the sentiment and some pink ribbon for the front. Hope you guys like them.. TFL

Mother's day Theme workshop

Hello there Bloggers! Here's some more stuff for you to look at. We made these cards at my May's workshop, it was Mother's Day themed. For the one on bottom I used 4 background stamp print pattern and canvas for the bottom with sahara sand ink on sahara sand paper, floral on the pixie pink paper using pixie pink ink, and aida cloth for under the blossom piece also sahara sand. The other one is very simple rock and roll technique, here it is how is done. Ink up tour stamp using a light color in this case I used so saffron, then rock the stamp in a circular motion so that you only get ink on the edges of the stamp with a darker color, I used ruby red, then stamp, comes out perfect everytime, then you just stamp the inside of the rose with ruby red, I did the same with the tiny roses, I then used the mellow moss ink that I used for the leaves for the spotted background from itty bitty backgrounds and just stamped the sentiment in this case Happy Mother's Day, but I think this design work for any type of card, birthday, thanks, even sympathy. Well thanks for looking I got more pictures to upload.....
